What data sources are used?

The information in our reports is based on more than 100,000 annual reports. We add new reports on a daily basis to give you the latest information available. While financial data in an annual report is mainly based on the previous calendar year, the risk and strategy paragraphs are typically looking forward. The date of publication of the annual report is used for the classification for a specific year.

How up to date is the data?

New data is added on a daily basis. While financial data in an annual report is mainly based on the previous calendar year, the risk and strategy paragraphs are typically looking forward. The date of publication of the annual report is used for the classification for a specific year.

How is the data collected?

DeloitteSmartReports.com collects data via a broad range of data sources (chambers of commerce, securities and exchange commissions, listing agencies, proprietary databases etc.) and via online search engines (crawlers).

How is a report generated?

All reports are generated automatically, using natural language processing, advanced analytics algorithms and report generators.

How do I order a report?

Choosing your report
Depending on the report you want to order, please visit our Risk, Strategy or Security pages. If you want to order a Risk or Security report, you can choose from three different options:

  • Industry Analysis Report
  • Company versus Industry Report
  • Company versus Peers Report

  • If you want to order an Industry Analysis Report or a Company versus Industry Report, please enter the industry you want analyzed in the designated field and click on Buy now to proceed to the next page.

    If you want to order a Company versus Peers Report, please enter the company and the subindustry you want benchmarked and choose the desired revenue. Then click on Buy now to proceed to the next page.

    If you want to order the Security Quickscan, please enter the URL of your website. Please note that you can only order the Security Quickscan for your own company and that the domain of your email address needs to match with the corresponding web page. This means that you are not able to perform the scan on a company's digital environment other than your own.

    If you are acting on behalf of a company you will be asked for the following information of your company:
    • The name of your company
    • EU VAT number
    • Street address
    • City
    After you have entered the EU VAT number, please click on Validate.

    Payment methods
    If you want to pay by credit card, select the check box next to Credit card and enter the following information:
    • Credit card number
    • Name on card
    • Expiration day and month
    • Expiration year
    • Card verification number
    You can also choose to pay with iDEAL. Simply select the check box and choose the name of your bank in the drop-down menu. After you have selected your bank you will proceed to your bank's payment environment.

Why can't I select my company?

DeloitteSmartReports.com uses the NACE global industry standard codes and descriptions. If you cannot find your company, please try again with different wording or select an industry that is similar to your industry. We are continuously working on our database and add new annual reports every day. Our database currently consists of over 20,000 companies and more than 100,000 annual reports. If your company is not available this might be caused by one or more of the following reasons:

  • Your company does not issue an annual report.
  • Your company’s annual report is not available in English.
  • Your company’s annual report is not available online.
  • Your company’s annual report is not electronically readable.
  • Your company’s annual report has no identifiable risk or strategy section.
  • Your company’s annual report is not accessible for internet search engines.

How do I select relevant peers?

To select a relevant peer group you can filter on three fields. In the first field you can search for a company. In the second field you can select your subindustry and in the third category you can choose the revenue. Once you have selected all three fields you are ready to benchmark your company against your peer group. Our artificial intelligence technology is constantly improving and soon you will be able to make your own selection of companies you want to be benchmarked against.

Why is my report request rejected?

Unfortunately we are not allowed to offer additional services to Deloitte audit clients. This means that we are not allowed to send you a report if your company or parts thereof have an audit relation with Deloitte. The definition of “additional services” however might vary per country, due to national law and/or guidelines. Please contact your local Deloitte contact person for guidance. If your national law and/or guidelines doesn't forbid “additional services", please ask your local Deloitte contact person to order the report for you.

Can I get my money back?

Yes, you are protected by our Money Back Guarantee. You can get a full refund on your purchase by sending us an email with ‘REFUND’ in the subject line within 14 days of purchase. Please include a brief explanation to tell us why you were not satisfied with your purchase to help us improve our services to you.

Unfortunately we cannot cancel your order once it has been submitted to us. You can easily get your money back by sending us an email with a brief explanation within 14 days of purchase. It can then take up to 48 hours for your refund to be fully processed. Please make sure to keep your purchase email until you receive your refund.

Why has my payment been refused?

Please contact your bank or card supplier if your payment was declined or choose an alternative payment method to complete your order.

Can I change my payment method?

Unfortunately we cannot change your payment method once your order has been submitted to us. You can place the order again with the correct credit card and receive a refund on the incorrect order. You just have to send us an email with REFUND in the subject line and a brief explanation to let us know why you’re requesting a refund. We will refund your money within 48 hours.

What do I do if I get a credit card error?

Please try to pay again using a different card or payment method. To find out why your card was refused, contact your bank or card supplier for more information.

My coupon code doesn’t work

If your coupon is rejected at checkout, please check the following:

  • Have you entered the code correctly? Please note that our codes are case sensitive.
  • Have you already used your coupon? Each coupon can only be redeemed once.
  • Has your coupon expired? Please send us an email. We have an attractive alternative for you.

You can sign up by clicking on Login in the upper right corner. Next, click on Or create an account and fill in the required fields to proceed with your registration. You can choose to sign up for our newsletter if you want to receive the latest insights and generous offers. Select I am a company if you’re acting on behalf of a company. Click on Submit to complete your registration.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

To reset your password click on Login and then on Forgot Your Password. Enter the email address that is linked to your account and click on Submit. You will receive an email with a link that will redirect you to a page where you can choose your new password. Click on RESET A PASSWORD to confirm your changes.

How do I change my password?

Log in to your account and click on Change password in your Account Information.

Log in to your account and select Account Information. Here you can view and edit your name, email address and password.

You can sign up for our newsletter in two ways. Simply scroll down and enter your email address in the box of the section Stay on top of things.
